TV
A week ago, I got my DTV coupons in the mail. (See DTV Answers.) They expire late in May, so I’ll wait until then (in case the current converter boxes improve).
If you got yours, when will you use them?
I saw Merlin’s Pick of the Week: VLC Remote Interface Widget. That’s cool, and I’m glad, but is there one of these apps for Windows users?
“I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
I currently burn the Divx or Xvid video file(s) files to CD, then play them on my Philips DVP642 DivX-Certified Progressive-Scan DVD Player.
BTSeasonPass makes it it really easy to see when your favorite shows get updated, without the clunky RSS interface in some of the BitTorrent programs out there. It’s also more intuitive because instead of slightly encryptic “S05E08“, it’ll say “Season 5 Episode 8“. Definitely awesome. (See also “The Poor Man’s Tivo“)

The Poor Man’s Tivo: BitTorrent. I wrote about BT back in May, but I’m just reiterating how cool it is. I don’t know who records the few TV shows I’ve been getting, either. I believe they’re in HDTV, but they’re without commercials and basically flawless. Thank you.
For the record, I’m using ZipTorrent now. It’s light-weight, too. I think Podz told me about it. Good stuff. Edit: Yup, it was Podz (not directly to me, just in general).
Since I’m “playing” in this basketball league, I’ve been missing Alias for the past couple weeks. Luckily, btefnet (BitTorrent EFNet?) looks like an awesome site to get these past shows (right up to the latest episodes) using BitTorrent. I don’t care if it’ll take a couple hours, but I definitely should’ve started them last night. I’m using Azureus as my BitTorrent client. (Golf clap: Forever Geek)
