Flickr invite frenzy

I just went on a Flickr invite frenzy. I’m going ballistic, baby! I don’t know if 7 people is a lot, but I figure they join, then they’ll tell their friends, and they’ll tell their friends, and so on, and so on, and so on…

Flickr Pro

At Flickr, I’ve gone Pro. I’ll be sifting through my photos on my home computer and uploading my good ones later. I’m stoked.

Use Flickr!

The last time I talked about Flickr was about two weeks ago. Due to a conversation I just had with a friend, I’ll write about it again.

James Ume. posted pictures from Japan onto his MSN Space. Sunday night, I viewed it in Firefox, and basically had to look through all his pictures. There wasn’t a way to pick and choose from thumbnails. I saw them all anyways (and he took a lot of pictures).

Today, he told me to view them in Internet Explorer. Apparently, Firefox isn’t supported. In IE, was able to see thumbnails at the bottom, and could pick and choose pictures.

Why do I like Flickr? Because it just works. It’s currently the best thing I’ve used. Free MSN Spaces offers 30MB/month, and free Flickr offers 20MB/month; but if it’s the best tool to use anyway, wouldn’t you use it?

Ian and Flickr

Ian briefly explains why he’s liking Flickr. I tell ya…I’ll read more about it and soon enough, I’ll just fork over the cash for their premium services. Flickr really is cool.

Which Flickr account?

I don’t take pictures too much, but if I get a Flickr Pro Account, do you think I’ll make it worthwhile? (Can I pay to keep more of my photos on Flickr?) Argh, decisions, decisions.

Lots of Flickr Tools

The Great Flickr Tools Collection looks really comprehensive. If I get into Flickr and get a Pro account, this’ll be my reminder to check back at this page for Flickr-related stuff.

Flickr doubles and cuts

I couldn’t think of a better title, but basically, Flickr doubles some stuff and cuts the price for a pro account in half. They also give two invites for a one-year Pro account. If you can donate one to me, I’d really appreciate it - I don’t have a pro account, and I’d love to use it instead of uploading pics in here. (Golf clap: Waxy.org Links Miniblog)

Yahoo acquires Flickr

Since a big group of us saw a 11:30pm showing of “The Ring 2” last night, I took a 3-hour cat nap after lunch to catch up on sleep. Anyways, I check the Scobleizer and see that Yahoo acquires Flickr. To me, that financially sounds great. If it’ll lower the cost of the service, I’m especially for it. I love how slick their system is, and if people like Robert Scoble, Jeremy Zawodny, and lots of others are liking it, I can’t imagine what the people at Yahoo think about it! I don’t have a Pro account yet, but I’m still wondering if my usage would justify the cost. If I did upgrade to pro membership, I suppose that’d be incentive enough use it more often.

Flickr giving free month pro

How would you like to tell us about yourself? We’d dying to hear all sorts of details about who you are and what you do so we can work out how to make Flickr suit you better. If you take our survey, we’ll give you a month Pro account for free. (If you’re already Pro, we’ll just add an extra month.)

I’m currently just using Flickr for the Binary Bonsai group. Who knows? Some of my local friends wonder why I even have a website… *sigh*
