CSS
In /wp-admin/admin-footer.php, I removed the bit that calls the “small” WordPress logo to the bottom of each page in your administration sections and replaced it with text only. The CSS that Randy made (mentioned earlier) doesn’t work well with it, plus I don’t need to see that logo there. I know I’m using WordPress! ![]()
I haven’t looked back at this Admin Theme from Randy Walker for awhile, so I backed up the original files and uploaded the modified ones. I’m pleased because it looks fresh. I like green. I also did it for my band’s site, in hopes that they’ll be more inspired to write. ![]()
I’m loving Kubrick Two…I can’t wait ’til he releases it!
I can’t remember all the CSS properties/selectors and HEX colors. Listed below are a few sites that you can refer to in a pinch. I’ll add to this as I come across more reference-type sites, then sticky it at the top for a day.
Webmonkey (Hex) Color Code Reference
HTML Goodies Hex Color Codes and Names Reference
4096 Color Wheel (Thanks Sam!)
VisiBone Webmaster’s Color Lab - this page shows the last eight colors you click on, so you can see which colors look good with each other. (Thanks Anthony!)
I wish I would’ve started reading blogs much earlier. I’m sure I would’ve come across this post or the sites contained in it much sooner. Layout-O-Matic helps generate a XHTML/CSS layout, while List-O-Matic assists in creating a navigation list.
I’m glad I dug around Vinnie Garcia’s blog, or else I would’ve never came across his post mentioning these sites. I’ll use them when it comes time to redo the website.
Your browser (totally) isn’t messed up - I just changed the CSS a bit to some of the elements from the original Frank Blue stylesheet. I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to tweak things for me, but I guess it’s better than nothing. (Oh yeah, the Web Developer Extension totally helps!)
