Testing an outgoing ping. Ignore me.

I think I understand WordPress Trac, trying to get all this pingback and trackback stuff fixed. Well, not how to debug and fix code, but how to implement fixes as Ryan and Matt find them.

I’m using revision 2612 of wp-includes/functions-post.php and wp-includes/functions.php Hopefully pingbacks will work.

This is in the series of posts for WordPress 1.5.1 fixes.

Insta-update: No dice. I still didn’t ping that last post. Ah well.

I applied the fixes James outlined.

1. This is also test ping to James’ post, since I haven’t tried to ping anyone else
2. We think Podz’s Test Track site is broken
3. I pinged Ping-o-Matic just fine earlier today

Edit: The pingback to his post didn’t work, my trackback to it I added a minute later went through. *sigh*

The “Unable to ping Ping-o-Matic” problem has been resolved, and functions.php is back to the default. I’ve still got the “Solution to WordPress 1.5.1 RSS errors” implemented, and I think I still have pinging problems.

Having pingback/trackback issues with WordPress 1.5.1? Test them out with Pingomation, gather as much information as you can if you’re having problems, then head to the forums. I’ll be working on this soon, if I can. (Thunderous applause for Owen @ Asymptomatic)
