If you were me, how much would you charge for an hour of photography at a party?
A friend at work asked me to take photos for her grandmother’s 90th birthday party 10 days from now. She expects an hour from me, plus 30-50 of the best photos on a CD.
Of course, she’ll hook me up with free food.
She would probably have various relatives take photos with disposable and/or point-and-shoot cameras, but she loves my photography. I’m stoked.
So, factoring the drive1, taking the photos and processing them, what would you charge?
Thanks in advance!
A week ago, I got my DTV coupons in the mail. (See DTV Answers.) They expire late in May, so I’ll wait until then (in case the current converter boxes improve).
If you got yours, when will you use them?
Someone — who bought some prints from me and loves how my photography is growing — suggested I submit some of my photos to Josh Rubenstein’s ‘Photo of the Day.’ I read the submission guidelines and I’m unsure if you give the copyright over to them by sending them a photo.
From her point of view, I’m getting millions(?) of viewers on a local news station and their website. Also, they only require a 400×300 pixel image.
What do you think?
I’ll copy it here and maybe you can decipher if it’s cool or not.

P.S. Josh, if you’re reading this, I’d love to get an elaboration on this!

Update 3/8/2007 @ 1:05pm: I had to update the Permalink Redirect WordPress plugin. Category feeds are back in business!
