Second hard drive close to dying

I powered up my desktop system this morning, only to hear an odd sound (probably from the hard drive). When I looked at the monitor, a blue screen was smiling at me. I didn’t write down the error, but I’m convinced that this 60GB Western Digital (like my IBM Deskstar 120GXP) is about to bite the dust. I think I’ll be getting a new hard drive. Karen’s Replicator will be copying my files to a my laptop computer now… (Note: For the record, I’ve had the Western Digital hard drive for four years.)

Nothing But Problems With Western Digital

I’ve had nothing by problems with this company as well. My first drive died with them, the replacement drive died a year later, and my experience is they take 3 months or longer to process rebates — which in my case, required multiple calls to the company to get those rebates sent through.
