Entering BIOS setup on HP & Compaq

I’m working on a HP Pavilion 512n right now, and I couldn’t get into the BIOS (because I didn’t know which key it was). Usually, it’s F2 or Del. After some searching, I found that it’s F1. Why can’t they standardize something so simple? Oh well, back to work.

I know! sometimes i rub my head and wonder what these people think when they change keys like this on each new model…. or if they think at all

Ridiculous isn’t it.

Have to google my HP 523N because I cannot remember it is F1…. thanks for posting… Try Del, Esc, CTRL S… then give up, find another PC and Google it…. most startup screens tell you Press for setup.

Just venting, thanks for posting the Key.

weird… I wrote Press *this* for setup.. but put it like this except the brackets were up again the word this… and it left the word -this- out of my posting.
