Just wanted to let you know that the ping-o-matic issue was resolved on ping-o-matic’s end. You may return to using your normal (un-edited) functions.php file, and there is a slightly better fix for the RSS issue here: http://mosquito.wordpress.org/view.php?id=1323

Hm, the above link doesn’t work as it should, but here’s the summary:

I can send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via NuclearMoose’s blog.
Btvillarin cannot send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via NuclearMoose’s blog.

I cannot send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via Podz’ test blog.
Btvillarin can send and receive trackbacks and pingbacks via NuclearMoose’s blog.

To fix your pingback and trackback problems, use revision 2606 of the functions.php file: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/wp-includes/functions.php?rev=2606

The ping-o-matic issue has, once again, been fixed on ping-o-matic’s end.

And, one more thing, to fix the pingback and trackback issue, you will also need revision 2606 of xmlrpc.php: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/xmlrpc.php?rev=2606
