All Narfed Up photography and words by Bryan Villarin

I ran across a site today (I believe it was a link from Joshuaink.com in his ‘SideSalad’ section) that was entitled “Blogs Suck” or something to that effect. It was an interesting read and paired w/ the link from your site to Gary’s post, I’ve rethought my posting method a bit.

I have no pretenses that my site is much more than my life poured out in binary code but my numbers also continue to climb…by leaps and bounds since my new theme has been implemented. I don’t think I’ll change the way that I post, or even the content, but I will be more ‘honest’ to myself and post whats on my mind without regard to ‘Who is going to read this?’

My colophon lays out very specifically that my site is mine…that means for my enjoyment and my archival purposes (I mean, not many of my friends have a fully searchable, accessible from anywhere journal full w/ pictures and songs, right?) But, if others enjoy their time spent on my site, well then, thats great too.

Thanks for those thoughts, Ian. It’s imperative that there’s a balance. If anything, you’re one of a few who’s got an upper hand on other bloggers because you know how to design. In the end, as long as we enjoy it, nothing else matters. Then usually when we’re enjoying it, others do the same.
