Marketing idea for Firefox

I have an idea for the Firefox community! I was reading the New Year’s resolution for Firefox to grow, and got to thinking. If every Firefox user could donate at least $5, seeing how there’s been 10 million downloads, they could have $50 million to use for a superbowl ad during the game! Then again, I don’t know what population group that targets exactly. So, maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea. I don’t know… :D

Edit: After doing a quick search, it seems that a 30-second ad would cost about $2.25 million(?)

$50 million?! You thought a ad costed anywhere NEAR $50 million??

:shakes head:

WoW! That’s not a bad idea :) Even if every user donated a $1.00

The fees incorporated into donating a buck probably wouldn’t be worth it. I totally know what you mean, though. ;)
