Another desktop search app

I posted and tried Google Desktop Search last Thursday. It’s okay, but needs more work (of course, it’s beta). I’m hoping they’ll stick with it and see how well they can develop it.

Until then, I think Copernic Desktop Search looks to fit the bill. Talking with Justin, he didn’t want to rely on searching through a web browser. I can go either way, I think. Shortly after our conversation, I found that Copernic released this before Google. (A review by Search Engine Watch)

I’m starting to rely on PDF a bit more, especially since I started using CutePDF. I used to print out stuff for reference, but it’s even nicer to have information on my hard drive so I could just search through them. There’s too much paper clutter as it stands.

yeah i’m not too sure about using google search thing, i read some stuff about how it can hold your billing info from emails, and what not.. so when other people go on your computer they can see it. maybe when they come up with password protection or something it’ll be better.

You should definitely request that, cuz I didn’t know about that at all.
