Don’t you hate it when contact lenses won’t seem to sit comfortably? That’s me today - this one lens for one eye won’t rest. It feels like it’s going to flip inside out, but when I rinse and look at it, it’s exactly the way it’s supposed to be! When I turn it the other way, it flips back to the way that wasn’t even working in the first place.
Do you understand the words that are comin’ outta my mouth?
No really, I don’t even have a current prescription of glasses - it’s an older one from two years ago! I’m pretty blind right now. ![]()
I tried to make a trifold duct tape wallet for myself last night, but the instructions weren’t as clear as the article to build a classic-type wallet. I really wanted a trifold, too. I’m going to have to settle for this classic one, I guess…at least for the next couple of days.
Or…I can buy one! There’s this brand called Ducti, and all the apparel manufacture is from super duct tape. It’s actually really cool.
The classic Ducti wallet is pretty cheap at Cyberguys, though, rather than the actually Ducti site. But if you want like the Triplett (Trifold) wallet, it’s probably best straight from Ducti. 21 bucks (USD) for that wallet, shipped in two days, has been the best I’ve seen compared to other resellers, where the tradeoff is shipping time.
I already bought a roll last night to make this new amateur-looking duct tape wallet, so I guess I can practice making another one.
How cool is that? I definitely wanna make myself one!

I like the second one better it better explains how to also add a clear ID pocket. Nifty!
Amazon.com is my favorite place at the moment. In the last three days, I’ve sold three textbooks to various people. I’ve needed some money, and this is definitely an answered prayer. If you’ve been praying for me, I can’t explain how much I appreciate it…plus every bit of cleared space helps. ![]()
I just had to say that I got quite a few invites these past few days. On Tuesday, I had one invite, so I sent one to one of my closer friends that I knew would want one. Then this morning, I wake up and check my email, and I had six Gmail invites!
I’m not selling them, I’m just giving them to close friends and forum members that have been really active in there. (In other words, they’re gone.) If I get more, at least I’ll always have someone I know to invite. But if not, I’ll post in the Gmailforums website.
Gmail is awesome, despite what people say. There’s things that need to get better, but I’m sure Google will get there. It’s nice to be able to access email anywhere with such a quick interface.
I just joined a Freecycle group in the San Gabriel Valley. If you have something that doesn’t look like it’ll sell on eBay, but is definitely not that bad, you should look for one in your area.
Also, if you have books you think someone else would really love, you should also check out BookCrossing.
I don’t hate them, really. But I’ll tell you why I hate them right now.
I was going to take this Accounting 101 class last semester (Spring 2004). It was currently a three-class course (ACCT 101, 102, & 103). But in Fall 2004, it was going to switch to the current standard of a two-class course (ACCT 101 & 102). So, I dropped that class last semester and registered for the new system this semester.
So, I come to class this semester feeling confident and ready to get good grades. Then today, I open the book and we’re going over the questions on our homework…and it turns out I have an older edition! The company just came out with a new one.
At school today, a pretty brutal display of stupidity astonished me. I was in my first class this morning (Great Religions of the World), and the teacher was going through his lecture. This one guy in class, sitting fairly near the front, had his cell phone on.
He got rung up once, and left the class to answer. Then when he got back, and a few minutes passed, he got another phone call. By that time, the teacher was fed up. He was like, “You know, that’s the second time he’s disrupted the class. When he gets back, I’m kicking him out.”
Anybody keep seeing some DSO Exploit in Spybot S&D 1.3? I know I do. Here’s an explanation, though: Spybot needs to be fixed
But, one of those DSO Exploits were able to be removed. It was a valid hole that needed to be patched. Although DSOstop2 has been out for awhile, my machine needed it. It patched one of the DSO Exploits shown in Spybot.
I came across two really nice and thorough articles pertaining spyware, thanks to the Majorgeeks website:
